It is virtually impossible to maintain data integrity in computerized election systems! We have no assurance that:
Texans cannot be assured of equal representation in voting - based upon voter specific data published by the Texas SOS, which is absent of
Given the data integrity issues identified at the macro and micro level in the Texas SOS’ own reporting systems, it is not possible that any rational person could believe that the county election systems which feed the SOS election results are reliable or accurate. This statement applies to most counties, election systems and vendors across this state. With no official finality in the list of voters who “voted” in a Texas election due to continual revisions to the vote rosters (voter checkin records) during an election and months after an election has been canvassed* and certified, Texans should demand that those elections should be de-certified. *Canvass = ballots tabulated & election outcome determined. Said another way: If the SOS cannot determine who voted in an election, there is no way to determine that the ballots cast in that election are representative of the actual intent of the voter. Only those elections that have an exact one-to-one relationship between a vote roster entry (check in record) and a legally voted ballot can be certified. Without this permanent relationship, the ballots cast by the individuals listed in the vote roster and then with the voter later removed makes the ballots invalid. They must not be counted, but this procedural safeguard is logistically impossible when the ballots are separated from the voter. Texans deserve transparent, honest elections. We must demand that we change the way we do elections in Texas! Stay tuned for solutions and implementation strategies.
