Update on Preserving Historic Monuments, by Chris Carter

There are two law suits against the City of Dallas regarding Confederate Monuments. Warren Johnson vs. Dallas and Chris Carter/ Karen Pieroni vs. Dallas. Both cases were assigned to radical leftist Judge Eric Moye in Dallas County. Moye has ruled in both cases that the plaintiffs do not have standing because they do not own the monuments or the ground upon which they sit. Moye has treated the plaintiffs in a hostile, abrasive manner and harassed the plaintiffs’  attorney, Warren Norred, repeatedly. In the Carter/Pieroni hearing on June 10, 2019, City staff were subpoenaed to testify regarding their fraudulently backdating documents which would accelerate the Landmark Commission calendar and thereby deny the citizens of Dallas due process. Moye ruled against Carter/Pieroni before most of the witnesses could testify, including Chris Carter. Moye is doing all the City attorney's work for him. In short, the citizens of Dallas are being railroaded. A temporary restraining order on demolition of the Confederate Monument in Pioneer Cemetery was denied.
Subsequently, Judge Bill Whitehill, in the 5th Court of Appeals, issued a temporary restraining order in July regarding the Warren Johnson law suit. The Lee Monument had been sold and delivered the day before the restraining order was issued and was not saved. However, arguments before Whitehill's court are proceeding regarding the Confederate Monument. The City is claiming ongoing financial damages regarding the cost of guarding the Monument and the inconvenience of not being able to give a demolition contractor the go ahead to destroy the Monument. The City is asking the plaintiffs to provide a $500,000 bond. The City is lying. There is no guard posted at the Monument. The notion of financially penalizing civic minded Dallas citizens is not only offensive, but obscene. The plaintiffs are requesting oral arguments as a next step. Time is on our side; however, time in the courts costs money. Therefore, all concerned conservatives are urged to donate to the legal fund, http://www.returnleetoleepark.org/  right away. Protecting the integrity of our History is the very foundation of Conservatism.
